Tuesdays with Morrie

I think that Americans are afraid to love each other but it has already changed so much throughout history. People don't mind hanging on each other or hugging someone or even kissing someone to show love but for some people it may be awkward it just depends on the person and what they are comfortable with. Romantic love can happen to anyone it just depends on your emotions and what you feel about that person. True love what Morrie talks about cannot be broken it is true and always will be it's like the feeling between a husband and wife that's why they get married.

Mitch values hard work and you can tell that by how much he is working throughout the movie and he also values achievement but doesn't take anytime to enjoy that achievement with himself or his girlfriend. Morrie gets Mitch to start taking days of to come visit and Mitch actually enjoys it and finds the true love that he already had his girlfriend and even Morrie.

I think that achievement starts before high school because of sports, music and school you learn to earn achievement and find your work ethic. The joke about the Mexican and American business man is actually very good because it is like telling the Mexican if he works 15-20 years he can have what he already has.

I don't just think Americans are afraid of death everyone is, no one wants to die. People don't want to die because of their material things on the earth like money, clothes, and even their house but most people don't want to die because they love life and the biggest part their family. Death is a taboo topic especially if you know the person it is common for most people to not talk about that person anymore because it brings up memories about that person. On the other hand many people love to talk about their loved ones who have passed on because they remember all the good times they have had with that person and it eases the pain. In Morrie's case death was not a taboo topic and he didn't want it to be so he made everyone around him open to death.
