I think
I have gotten most of my traits from my mother based on my hair color which is
brown and my eye color which is blue. I think I got more aptitude from my dad
because he was pretty good with pretty much anything. If you show me how to do
something I will be able to do it and I will get tremendously better by just
doing it a few times. Even though I’ve gotten most of my traits based on my
mother I think I have gotten just as much from my father just not noticeable things.
Having
only two children in the family we were mostly treated the same but I think I got
more of the achievement and responsible oriented than my sister. I don’t think
the birth order really affected me because it was at an age where we were far
enough apart that we didn’t like the same things or had mostly different
interests.
My dad was the one that influenced me more because he got me
into hunting and fishing which I really thank him for. My dad had graduated high
school and got an associate’s degree in body repair. I am going to follow more
along the lines of my father because he was quite successful throughout his
life. My mother on the other hand didn’t graduate high school and you can see
quite well where that has gotten her. Maybe if my mom didn’t drop out of high
school my sister might not have thought that it was alright to drop out. My dad
encouraged us to go to church and that’s why we always went to Sunday school.
Both of my parents taught us to be polite and nice to
people, by doing this we were looked up as being raised well. Everyone should
be taught manners and skills to develop socially and that is what I am thankful
for being taught. But on the other hand for the first twelve years both of my
parents were alcoholics so that was a minus but I learned a lot of what to not
being by hearing all of the losers in the bar tell me not to grow up like them.
So overall I think I am set above the rest because I am
always having to work for what I want I barely get anything given to me and
when I am given something I and very thankful.
